As an after thought perhaps some more camera goodies for the collection.

I'd love that but the Minister of Finance isn't going to approve anything like that anytime soon. :(

Hey guys, how are we all? I saw the posts re; slow water shots in Brissy and even though this my first effort at it (plus I'm still waiting on Aust Post for my polariser!) I thought I'd throw this one up.
Location? Rainforest walk at Roma St Parklands. Who says you need a car?! (but they do help sometimes!)
Any CC is appreciated.

I think it needs a minor adjustment to the white balance, it's too green/yellow overall.

I had a quite puddle in PS (I'd usually use LR, but didn't this time - LR is a LOT easier), anyway, here's the edit, mind that it's been recompressed so there may be jpg artefacts. You'll notice a big difference when your polariser arrives too, as the surface reflections are fairly severe (esp. in the foreground).

Ah! I'm got a 3 month contract doing IT stuff again. My ex-Boss just rang me out of the blue and asked if I could fill in for 3 months doing local support stuff over at Milton. Being short on funds, I've accepted.
How is it these things happen when I'm not looking, but if I apply places I don't get any response ?

Just think of the toys you can buy with that

The minister of finance is sure to okay at least one more purchase now ;)

Can I tempt you with some new crumply goodness perhaps?

What will be done with the whole precinct looks nice. And they are even keeping the old gasometer frame.

Edit: Just discovered they have to keep it as it is heritage listed. Something I did not know before.

Good lord, surely that can't be - a marina within a couple of km's of the city, surely not.

Now I really am interested in finding out more of the plans - can't imagine this government will allow rich, well healed boaties (from tinnies to large boats) to get close to the city. :(

You better believe it ;)

There is another one going in around the corner just infront of Portside Wharf as well. The P&O cold store wharves are going and the whole place is being redeveloped and part of it is a larger marina.

My giddy aunt - that is beaut news. The one thing that has stopped us bringing the boat up the river for a poke around is that there is nowhere to go and moor when you get up there. Why one earth couldn't they provide public jetties at Southbank for example like they do at Darling Harbour in Sydney.

Excuse me for ranting, but I get seriously pinged off with the attitude of government here in SEQ as far as access to our river for everyone, not just rich people that can enjoy the riverside blocks but those who use the water for enjoyment.

Well theoretically, there are two. Directly opposite the beach there (no idea what they are calling it these days). But no one seems to know they can tie up there.

All the ones I've seen have sign on them saying no public access.

Sammy, start planning for something that we can make use of mate - There's an idea for your thesis :) :)

Thesis? Oh dear :|

:lol::lol:

I'll have to get in with a cashed up developer to do that, unless i can convince the right people in council/state government to give me a job
