You reckon ? Just watched it and didn't see anyone I've personally met.

As to being on there - I've got a login from way back, just logged in then (haven't been on there in ages).

Weird chat/exploring thing that feeds off flickr.

The intro video after you first sign up (might be different now). They are showing off the features and the guy searches for puppies. The first one is one of your photos and he even clicks on it to bring it up.

Ah yes, I recall seeing that a while ago - the new video is with a woman's voice and cruises Striatic's stream.

Scott, tentatively count me in - tentatively because our weekends are pretty full leading up to Chrissy, but if I can make it, I'd be keen.

I am always up for any excuse for a meet. BTW, I dont claim to be any real card shark either. I know the rules, and I can play. Thats about it.
If we do this game here at my place, the little Gaggia will get a flogging! I assume everyone would be drinking coffee? :).

Hi Scott - depending on what day it is, I would certainly be keen for a game (Texas Hold'em I assume...or is it a different flavour?) and an excuse for a meet!

Nice one Sammy, it just looks a little like you let it sit for too long while getting the camera ready...? I have done that a few times, and because of that I didn't get any good shots. Your coffee still looks good. Very drinkable :D

Ok so the game so far:

Greg, Nigel, Nick, Sam, Feng, David, Andrew and Me. Thats maxed out. Should be great fun. I propose Friday 21st November at say 7:30pm? Let me know how that sounds? If its no good or if everyone already has plans, we can shift it. Maybe a Saturday afternoon thing, if that suits better.

Another little shot for inspiration...

Exactly what happened. I poured it, stood there for a second and thought, hey that looks great, and ran to get the camera

Friday should be right, Id probably grab a lift off someone both ways if anyone wouldnt mind. Either that or campos followed by poker on saturday would work well too (for me anyways, dont think it did for David).

Yes, Texas Hold'em, mainly because its what everyone knows, since its rise to fame on TV. If people want to get confused, we can always play Omaha High Low. That game is much better when under the influence...

I still dont know how anyone plays it... we used to spend more time just figuring out who gets what, and more importantly, who won the hand. Its just plain scary.

Potentially stupid question, would we just be using chips and not real money (or camera gear)? The later two are kind of scarce for me right now :lol:

I have 2 sets of 500 chips, 1 was imported from the states. No money down, I prefer a friendly game. I used to play once a month with some mates and we all chipped in $10 each at the start of the night, equal div of the chips and then you play until you are eliminated. Then winner takes all. No one ever crys about losing $10, but someone would go home with enough money to buy a carton of what ever they drank.

Harmless really. But its equally as fun without real money behind it.

$10 should be right, especially since my driving test will have been paid for before hand :)
