Hello all,

Here is a HDR that I made from Rainbow Beach the other week. Can you guys let me know if it 'works'?

Well it looks natural, which is always a good thing (i.e. not overdone).

The foreground is a wee dark though.

BTW, I'm going to have to bail on the hill climb, feeling somewhat under the weather.

Looks ok to me, I agree with Dave, maybe burn in a little of the foreground.

Speaking of self gratification.....I have a new toy to play with.....it's 24 inches and will make photo editing a lot easier now!

I/we bit the bullet today and got a new monitor. Seeing as though for the past forever I've been working off a laptop monitor or back home up north a crappy lcd that really liked the colour green and decided it would make everything green.

Gotta say, I'm blown away! I can't wait to get stuck in and edit some photos now......after I buy a calibrator.

Yay :)

I'm currently making do with a 22" and a 17" (both LCD), but they're calibrated, so all good.

I've also put forward the suggestion for my birthday pressie (in July) - 400/5.6L, remains to be seen if it gets through "finance", but here's hoping.

I'm going to have to look into calibration devices very soon. I have the monitor running off the laptop and the difference between he 2 screens is like night and day, not too sure which one is close to the mark.

I just went through a slideshow of my pics and gotta say, wow, they look mighty good in 24 inches!

I was suprised how quickly this got approved through the finance minister. I planted the seed last week and we were at office works today to pick up a bookshelf and I wandered over to the monitors and as they say the rest is history!

Good luck with the 400! I'm sure i'll be getting between 5-10 cd's for my b;day in aug as that's what I get every birhday and christmas..... I think I'm going to have to find some new bands I enjoy....

I'm very happy with my Spyder3Pro - $268 from Stu at Quality Cameras.

I haven't bought a whole CD in ages... We have a fairly large collection anyway, and now I tend pick and choose from iTunes.

May be too late, but for those heading out to the hillclimb, watch out for wifey's cousin's Lotus - looks like this...

Yeah - hope so too. Although since I too this pic some months ago the front end has been rebuilt by his Dad - front nose panel was all screwed up and needed replacing, but a bit of handiwork by him and problem solved. Good as new, it seems. Car goes like the clappers, too.
