No coffee, just burgers and coke etc.

Oh well, looks like we could have two hang-outs then - the burgers look great :D

Primm wrote in post #5896374 (external link)
That's OK, Campos is on the way home.

For me, anyway.

PS. No. 3 looks a bit dark to me Greg. Anyone else, or is it my "night duty" eyes?

"night duty" eyes eh :D

Is that like see-in-the-dark, eyes-in-back-of-head, heavy-duty or X-ray eyes :p

TAX TIME:

Not one to complain but - I tripped on a rock and fell on a walk today and banged one of my knees up a bit ........... (see pic)

Peter, I think that might be one of my favourite all time shots, and I am not sure why. Possibly because of my great affection for parrots, but still, an amazing capture. Love the colour, and the slightly desaturated look to it. Some might say that its a little distracting with the light the way it is, but I love it.

Maybe a nice medium tight crop might make it even better.

Thanks Scott, yes, I felt the same when I processed it - I played with the crop already and I know the out of focus tree on the left is a bit odd, but I still liked it :D

Just back from the Abbey - 6Gb of photos today (going back tomorrow too). I am very sore, and sunburnt (forgot my hat).

Very cool pics Dave - hope you had a nice time....... :) Wow, 10 minute expose for No 1..... cool

Thanks Pete :)

Yeah I was originally going to do a 5min exposure, but after turning out the outside light, I figured I'd just keep going ;-)a

My brother in law is opening a gourmet burger join across the road from the Gabba. I'm just back from the burger testing. It was a hard job but someone had to do it. Hard to get a scale of these things but they are huge, I don't want dinner tonight. Very tasty also.

Mmmmm, they look very tasty indeed!

A lovely trio, Dave. I particularly like the last one too.

Thanks Nick :) 'twas worth the detour and the freezing temperatures.

Go to About:Config

Search for colour. Should be obvious :) (i.e. I can't remember the exact option)

Ohh :) We should've organised a meet.... ah well...next time. :)

I happened to literally ran into the parade for world youth day (i think that is what it was) on Adelaide street today. Was waiting for the bus to Hayleys and hadnt noticed that Adelaide street was rather empty until i heard them further down the road...

Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet was on Showtime Greats earlier. What's scary is that 12 years have passed since it was made... :|

Nice burger shots, Greg - I hope they taste as good as the photos make them out to do. :D

Ooooh yeah. And a heck of a lot better than attempting to use myspace for the same function

haha... the myspace blog works well enough for what I use it for. :)

Team in the development series, (race image motorsports). Im the data engineer for one of the cars so Ill be in charge of car setup, getting the most out of the driver, telementry and all that kinda stuff. I have been thrown right into the deep end but I will be working my arse off to make the most of it.

Only downside is that now I wont be able to take any photos all weekend, and with my new lens arriving on thurs :(. Oh wells.

Sounds really interesting. :)

mmm it's good, but the bokeh is a bit too distracting. :|
