Wivenhoe ?

And if so, I take it that's not from the lookout thingy ?

I've managed to do a quick cull after downloading my shots from the weekend - 1200+ photos to go through and process now.

However, I did manage this one today that I'm relatively happy about (would have been happier if I'd underexposed more and wasn't shooting jpg - yes, you heard it here, I shot jpg a couple of times over the weekend, sometimes due to lack of space on the cards, this time because I wanted more buffer).

Love the shot of the canon..... Great timing.

Back-focussed ? Cue ball in the air ? Blue felt ?

Thanks Pete - took a lot of mucking about and 5 canon shots to get it.

And since I'm posting, here's some more tax (this time from Eungella Dam):

Yeah, I was lucky enough to catch both groups. I think you were opposite me for the second group.

I spent the morning feeling worse-for-wear (combination of some sort of cold, two days on my feet shooting the Abbey Tournament and some sunburn (from day one of said tournament)).

Then I took the kidlets to the movies, forgetting I had an important work related email to send (d'oh!), got back, sent said email, been veg'ing since (although I just made pizza which is almost done).

Ouch - nasty. Pizza sounds good tho. We had rack of lamb - niice. Oh, lens will be posted this week - waiting for flash to come back so will recycle the packing.

I spent another 9 hours at work today. Then walked home from Mt Ommany. Tell you what, we had every shop owner and his dog in at work today buying cans of coke. Cheapest they have ever been but we had to put a limit on the number of cartons they could buy....

37 per customer, per trip into the store.

Damn customers

And long walk :(

Indeed it was, I even made a dessert pizza with dates, apricots, brown sugar and dutch cinnamon.

We had rack of lamb - niice.

MMMmmmm I haven't had a rack of lamb since Adelaide - too darn expensive for a family of 5.

Oh, lens will be posted this week - waiting for flash to come back so will recycle the packing.

Yay, birthday pressie :)

Mmm - pizza all round!

Yeah - I must admit, when we unpacked it from the - well - packaging I totted up the cost of the two racks and it would have bought a stofen omni!

Aye, the cost of lamb (or meat in general) is somewhat scary these days.

Yay - One careful male owner!

Only shot with on Sundays ?

QUOTED IMAGE

I borrowed BCG's monitor calibrator and it finished calibrating about 10 minutes ago.

I must say, the colour and sharpness in this photo jumps out at me. I don't know why I didn't calibrate this monitor sooner... :|

Apart from the blue felt, no. Unless you count the change from uncalibrated to calibrated... ;) Nice photo. :)

Nah, just the queue ball came within about 1 cm of hitting the lens...

On another note, is anyone else having problems with their phones this morning? I cant call anyone with my mobile, it just says service disconected or unavailable depending which handset of mine i use or every number i ring with the home phone comes up as engaged...
