Toowoomba? Not only have I heard of it, I used to live there - Ramsay Street, Middle Ridge, in fact.

Hey... that's the place after that really steep bit of road west of here a little bit. ;)
EDIT: and the border of civilisation when coming from the other direction... hehe. :)

@Willstar: Wow, you know that if pressed about the situation i might acknowledge that i'd heard of the place (toowoomba) but not actually that i live here... :P

@Carjo: The boarder of mainstream civilisation. Unfortunately not the boarder of 'Photoization' which really isn't toowoomba it actually starts much closer to Brisbane. (ie. In Brisbane)

One step ahead of you, already meeting at 12 with some friends from http://ausphotography.net.au/ (external link) at Southbank at 12pm. Wanna join me?

Might well do that, Greg, although have just risen to the day, and have a few things we need to do first. The view thru the balcony looks like a thick English mist, so will be cleaning the glassage!

I'll see how I pan out and text you later. Is it just @ Southbank or is that just the first meeting point?

Just the first meeting point then they plan to wander around some. BBQ involved also late in the day as well as some night/sunset stuff so it will be a long arvo if you can make the whole thing.

Just wondering what's happening around the City that's attracting a couple of choppers hovering around....

Off to Google and see what I can find out

Oh it's not that bad. I actually liked my stay in Twba. It's considerably better than say, Warwick.

The boarder of mainstream civilisation. Unfortunately not the boarder of 'Photoization' which really isn't toowoomba it actually starts much closer to Brisbane. (ie. In Brisbane)

Apparently there are a couple of photography clubs in Twba, and there's a semi-active flickr group (external link) devoted to meetups.
