I have a Canon EF 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 push-pull zoom and it won't focus to infinity! If you point at something far away the AF won't lock. Manually focussing as far as possible is about 25 feet. The lens is very sharp where the plane of best focus is but infinity focus is needed. It's almost like there is a short extension tube present.

Is this something that can generally be repaired?

I have no idea, but way to work myopic into casual conversation. Gold star for you. :)

Thanks. I thought it was clever.

I think I'll take the lens to a repair shop since it will probably be less than return shipping.
