Beautiful dog and the colors are very rich. I love the third one.

Nice pooch. I heard that they were used to hunt lions or something like that.

I agree. The third is the best by far to me. Beautiful dog.

Thanks everyone!! Actually after I posted these I realized that these are the unedited ones!! EEEKKKK!! well that not that bad for straight out of the camera i guess:) He is such a good and calm dog if he knows you, but man is he scary if he thinks you dont have good intentions. Rodesian Ridgebacks actually are great hunting dogs, they are very very smart and very loyal -- and also very LARGE!!!! Thanks for the comments -- the 3rd is my fave too:)

Very handsome dog - and very nice shots (esp considering no PP!)

Another vote for #3 as the fav from me...closely followed by #1 (a Canine Glamour Shot perhaps?)

#2 doesn't really do him justice...the sharpest plane of focus is on his back. Maybe you were going for this effect?

There is nothing wrong with #4, although the wheel beside his head is a little distracting for me.

This is only my 2nd post ever, so feel free to take these comments with as many grains of salt as you like!

Thanks for posting!

I appreciate the feedback even if you have only posted 2 times:)
Ya in #2 I was trying to get the ridge on his back because that's why they call them "Ridgebacks" It s like a little mohawk on their back -- its soo cute!!
I think it would have been better from another angle -- I am gonna try again probably without such a shallow DOF
I appreciate all feedback -- even constuctive critism--

Great shots, those eyes could tell some stories.
My favorites are #'s 3 & 4.
Best regards,
Pat
