DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES in Sydney

Can some of you professionals pleas help.

I am posting in this section - as - I am figuring that if many of you are professional working photographers in he business - then u can guide me on where i can do a great dDIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE in Sydney.

I have a Canon 40d and 580 ex 2 flash and i know the basics but want to learn more about general settings / sugeestions / lighting / shooting.

I have been to tafe NSW doing photography but its to bland.

Check out nulab.com.au , they run courses but I suspect they're more for professionals.

Nulab do a lot of courses that are very valuable to professional photographers - marketing, sales, portrait workshops, and training from some of the best in the business. I've been to a couple and they're great. You're right they're not good to teach a beginner, but this isn't a beginners forum. What level of education do you need? From absolute basics?

Check out local schools and universities, they sometimes do evening programs.

im not a beginner

but thats not to say that beginners cant participate into this forum right.

now i wanna learn more formally

about camera settings that are most ideal in certain situatuon a as well as the business end

invoicing / lighting / networking....

i just joined ACP in paddington

im told they are damn fgood

Sounds like there's a few different areas you want to develop. Joining your local professional organisation is a great idea, mine has monthly meetings and seminars, they bring in great people we can learn from. The AIPP is I think what you want. Doing formal courses is also a good idea, as you've discovered they can be hard to find.

Re financial stuff get yourself an accountant and do what they suggest. I use an online system called www.xero.com that works great, but not sure if they have their aussie system working yet.

Re camera settings experimentation is best. For lighting there are some great books, I have some really good ones recommended in my recommended books thread - find it via links in my sig.
