Yeah, then I saw yesterday where 2 teams simply traded every single player on each team to each other.

I doubt there is this on our league, since it is private, but I know on Yahoo, there is a veto option on trades where if so many teams agree, a trade is voided. That is usually nice, but by about week 10 many people aren't paying attention enough to veto anything.

Ours does have a trade veto. It is the standard one used in all NFL.com leagues I;ve ever played in.

All trades are subjecto to a 1 day voting period. If the trade gets more than three objections then it goes to the commish of our league for the final approval.

It's always a good idea to have something like this in place. A buddy of mine plays on a random Yahoo league that he signed up for without reading the rules. There is no voting period and the commish has all the power to allow trades or not. That is a bad idea as it gives one person the power for the whole league and the commish can make any trade he wants, as no one team can object.

Cool, I never even looked in to it. I wasn't all that concerned about it with Mike running the league (really not trying to suck up!).

Are you hating on my fantasy picks?

Not hating on your picks, just your taste in football teams. ;) I mean over 4270 days since their last playoff win!

I can't believe you came back on Monday to beat me. I thought I had you, especially sitting with the Vikings 'D' in my pocket.

cough cough

What can I say? I'm good! ;)

I was going to say that I would love to stomp you in FF the same week my Eagles stomp them cowpokes. Then I looked at the FF2 sched and I see we are facing each other. Should be a fun week!

Matchup of the week?

DDCSD wrote in post #6275724 (external link)
OK, now for the FF moron moment. This wasn't in a POTN league (not league 2 at least), but someone really needs to turn on a TV, or radio or something. My dad even heard that Brady got hurt and he doesn't care a bit about football.....

Yeah, that is pretty bad. Even with the fact that the trade has a delay it still doesn't look good. I think there might be some collusion of sorts going on there.

Eric&Susan wrote in post #6275868 (external link)
I'm always looking at different players on the waiver and have noticed the recent trades info. Some of those trades are so one sided it isn't even funny. Almost makes you think that somebody has 2 teams in one league and is trading between the 2. That has to be it because people can't be that uneducated about football if they took the time to sign up for fantasy.

Eric

This can and does happen. Unfortunately the rest of the league doesn't pay enough attention to those types of trades. They could easily veto it!

Yup, every trade has to be approved by the members, or should I say not object. This is why it is very important to check out the league at least once a day. You should also receive an email about any trade telling you to vote. I would ask that you are very objective about any trades. If it is a fair trade it should be allowed!

And I don't mind the sucking up.

I started the season better than last year, not too difficult since I lost the first five or six last year. Sure glad I passed on Brady now. Good luck everybody.

I wouldn't bet on either one, not in the #2 league anyway. I know the iggles fans are all hyped up by that win over the rams. Nevermind that the rams pulled in all of 3 wins last year. If you go to the stats for Dallas VS. St. Louis last year (at St. Louis), you'll notice almost identical offensive stats. Romo was also 21/33 for 300+ yards and 3TDs. The only difference is we scored all 35 points in only two quarters of play and sat on the ball the ENTIRE 4th quarter. Patrick Crayton got his first start as the #2 in that game and managed to rack up 184YDs and 2TDs, despite the inexperience. Can you say "garbage DBs"? I think you'd be wise to temper your expectations with the understanding that St. Louis has the absolute slowest secondary and top-5 worst O-line in the entire NFL. If you expect Dallas' O-line to fold up like an accordian, you might not want to watch the game Monday night.

;)

Edit: Dallas' 4th quarter last year against the Rams:

15 running plays, 2 short passing plays, a punt and a kneel to end it.

That team just gives up and dies after you get a good lead.

This is my first time playing FFL and I finally starting to get a hang on things. Just udpated my roster heavily... Still lacking on the WR side, but hoping things gets better. *sigh*

Did anyone notice how crappy the picture of Aaron Rodgers looked on the POTN league page? US Presswire needs our help (external link)!
I hope I linked that in the correct manner. Usually don't put other peoples stuff on these forums but this is horrid!

Doug I think they did that on purpose. ;) for some reason this all started last year. They, NFL.com, has been doing selective coloring, and other "interesting" things to the photos. It is rather odd.

Well, it did have a "colorized" look to it....my wife got a laugh from me after I mentioned it. "Only you could go onto a Fantasy Football site and critique the pictures", she said.....lol

Dude looks down right scary.

I think that photographer should have gone to the lighting section first for some tips on light placement and shadows:lol:

I'll try not to be the worst this week. Let's see what happens.

It's not always about winning/losing best/ worse it's about having fun. My first year in FF I got my butt spanked almost every single week.

Sometimes you can have a great draft and then injury's tear up your team. There is just as much luck as there is skilled picks involved in FF.

Also FF makes the actual game more interesting. Since I live in Nor Cal I always have to watch the Raiders and Niners games. Neither team is very good but if they happen to be playing against a team that has one of my players it makes it interesting to watch.

Hang in there, it's only the first week.
