Hi all,

Just a quick question. New to all this. What takes better portraits.

1) 20D with 4 photofloods (main, fill, background and hair) or

2) 20D with an Opus OPL-M40 Flash Socket/Umbrella & soft box (main & fill)

I am trying to gather a nice home portrait/protable set up but I am not sure which one takes better pictures.

I like the pictures from the photofloods but would the flash set up work better? I have 580 EX. Would that with the opus soft box and umbrella do a better job?

I am sure the flash would be better for babies ( no heat and bright lights) but would the quality be as nice? I dont want to buy it and not like it. Have any of you shot with the an opus set up?

Many thanks

Joel

OceanRider:
I'm going to move this thread into "Talk About Photography". I think you'll get more people with appropriate knowledge there.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Tom
