I bought this off of Ebay for $30, and got it a few days ago. This is build exactly like Canon's OC-E3, even weights the same. The box also looks like Canon's.

Works perfectly. I have all my ETTL functions, and it is very well constructed. If I took off the label from this and the Canon's one, you could not tell the difference.

I bought one from the same seller a couple of weeks ago. Build looks good and it works perfectly. In fact, today I bought a second one from the same guy. Delivery was quick - less than a week to the UK and the price was about half the going onshore rate for the real thing.

I noticed he has some priced in GBP and some in USD. If the conversion rates are accurate then the USD prices are a little better than the GBP prices and keep the whole deal under the magic £18 threshold for VAT/Duty.

Chances are it's the midnight shift of the factory making them FOR Canon. Rebadged...

Good link! Sadly, just a couple of hours too late for me. I've already bought and paid on eBay - just awaiting dispatch. Still, I only paid $35.65 so hardly the end of the world.

If it comes off Canon's sub-contracted production line then I'm not complaining :)
