Man, that is a great shot. Made me smile broad.

I like the loo's in the background too and the two guys checking each others pants :-)

Yeah, you never know what's happening on these narrow esplanades.

Funny. By the way seems like a few people are wearing similar hats--- is that the style in Finland?

You have a sharp eye, Scott. - Yes, >this< (external link) seem to be some sort of style here.:rolleyes: . A bit more serious explanation here (external link).

What's going on here??? What's with the costume? Is that a 4-pack of beer on the bench? Why the red butt? That guy would be at home here in NYC. Well, sort of.

Good questions, Pio. Booze has certainly a role in this setup. - We in Finland do not have any real carnevals, but 1st of May is very close to that. Then it's socially most acceptable to drink and get drunk publicly.

I was staying with a good friend in Helsinki last year while this was going on actually, and it was something else! On the streets, in the parks, in the metro even - haha, it was crazy! The evenings sure weren't quiet...
And apparently, the Finns visit Tallinn for more than their old town too ...like the cheap alcohol available in the old town

Great to have an eyewitness - are you bold enough to come again?

I'd love to actually. I'm not so much a drinker really myself, but I'll be back in Finland again soon enough! After I get my paws on the new Sigma 50mm, while here at home because goodness knows it wont be cheap over in Finlandia. Much like anything else

Brillaint. I love candids like this.

I like how the woman is attempting to hide her can of beer...

Every element adds to the narrative of this story. I ditto everything above and add the body language of the woman... she seems about to react in some way. Will she help RedButt fix something? Will she put that hand over her mouth? She's so serious. Is she shocked? Or upset that the guy just can't get whatever he's meddling with... meddled?

Like it when an image explodes with quirky questions....

Thanks for sharing...

Cheers Ted! Really serious questions you have. Is she's considering to help this albino Bigfoot (external link)to untie his butt ropes so he can relief himself decently (note toilets on the background) after all that booze partying?
