Understood, but if they do come out with a "wireless RF E-TTL to E-TTL hotshoe converters to accomodate their current flash lineup" you can be sure it will be expensive and have some stupid odd-ball battery in it...

They can't be too outrageous, since radiopoppers do the same thing (albeit technically in a different way). So I assume these RF E-TTL to hotshoe adapters will be priced somewhere above radiopoppers.

Note, however, that all this is PURE SPECULATION based on patent situation and simple reasoning, I have no connection whatsoever to Canon. FWIW they may just as well announce a new ST-E2 tomorrow.
