Unless someone can suggest a business card printer capable of printing about 250-500 business cards shipped to Minnesota by Friday night - preferably reasonably priced and good quality..

I'll be handing out 4x6's to basketball parents. I'm wondering if people think they have the same impact - the problem with 4x6's being they are kinda flimsy.

The plus being I can put a decent size image on the 4x6.

What does everyone think? Arguments for/against?

If somebody gave me a 4x6 as a 'business card', I'd probably throw it away. I prefer a normal 2 x 3.5 business card without a photo...but that's just me.

I agree. If you're using it to advertise... I don't know. If it doesn't fit in my wallet I often will pitch it. It would be like a small flier and one of my biggest pet peeves is fliers (though I have considered printing some fliers recently.)

So... I don't know. I know you're having problems getting affordable prints done on such short notice, but I would be afraid of the money you're spending on the 3x5s and 4x6s going to waste.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If they can't fit, comfortably in the parents wallet/pocket, they'll probably just throw them away.

Thankfully, this event is sponsored by the company I am shooting for, so some recognition goes along way, however, I've never seen a truly professional outfit use 4x6's.

Many thanks for your replies!

You can always use picture package on Photoshop to print out eight 2x3.5 business card sized images on a single sheet of 8x10. I've done it when I needed biz cards in a pinch, and all I had to do was use a paper trimmer to cut it down to the proper sizes.

You can also get Avery paper, precut into business card size, that you can run through your printer.

I use these to give the link and password to team parents, but don't print pictures on them.
