I shot my first 2 weddings this past weekend. Used 2 bodies, one with 17-55, the other with 70-200. I had each hanging from a strap but found it awk to deal with them. My shoulders slope so the strap must cross across my chest for the camera to not drop the ground. That means I get choked when lift the camera who's strap is under the other.
I'm thinking of going with no strap on the camera and having some sort of holster on my hip (think old west 6-guns!). Draw the camera, shoot pics. If the scene changes, replace the camera into its holster and draw the other one out of the other holster.
Where should I be looking for this sort of stuff? What other solutions should I be thinking of?
If I were to buy today, it would be one Think Tank Holster 50. I'd have the body with the 70-200 with no strap and the other body with 17-55 would still be on a strap.
I currently have a Domke reporter's bag (black) which is cool but may or may not work. Maybe if I took the internal insert out and just used it as a basket to lay the camera into?
