How to force flash on the Rebel XTi

Hi, I am a newbie, I am sure a lot of exprets here. Can someone help me with how I can force flashlight to go on all the time on my Rebel XTi? :oops:

It's been my experience that you just pop up the flash... hit the little flash button on the upper front left of the camera.

Use one of the creative zone modes (the ones with letters instead of icons on the dial). Then press the button on the left side of the camera under the little lightning bolt icon. This should make the flash pop up.
