Shots from outside my works.

Progress on learning how to get the best out of my MPE 65 has been very slow as I have no garden to speak of and no quick access to open land, I've decided as there are areas at work that never get tended that there has to be some life hiding in there just waiting for me to worry it. I only get half an hour for my dinner, so once I've scoffed my sarnnies and slurped down my cup of tea it only leaves about 15 minutes to go bug hunting. So here's what I found, not much really but it's a start. Not sure just what they are (pretty sure from looking and learning from the posts on here but not confident enough to name them and look a Pratt when I get them wrong ) so Id's welcome, No's 2, 3 and 4 were about 3mm in length, No.1 was about 5mm in length.

Nice shots there Mick, all are very sharp, Backgrounds are a little distracting but it looks like you didnt have much choice Number one is i think an Assasin Bug, 2 is some type of shieldbug and three and four are leafhoppers i believe.

Nice set Mick, #2 looks like a squash bug Coriomeris denticulatus maybe.

Ah! yes, just the ID's I was going for Alistair I did try moving stuff out of the way to get better shots but by the time I'd moved it I'd lost sight of the bug. I might try opening up the aperture to blur the background a bit but for now I'm just happy to get anything.

#1 is likely a Plant Bug though Empicoris vagabundus is an example of a slender Assassin Bug. I shoot a lot at work in my lunch hour but then we are lucky to have quite extensive grounds.

iv been using it every day for about a year now..im at the point where i can use it goodm,its the insects i am finding hard to shoot..there so active in this heat
