Gitzo tripods are renowned worldwide for their quality and reliability and the same description undoubtedly applies to its new line of Gitzo Photogear Apparel- ‘Professional Photo Essentials’.
Bogen Imaging UK launched the two new photographer jackets at last week's Focus on Imaging 2008 show and they proved to be a big hit with the discerning crowds that gathered around to get a glimpse of the impressive new Gitzo '4 Season' and 'Fleece' Jackets.
Photographers demanding durability, funcionality and comfort need look no further than the new Gitzo 4 Season Jacket. This jacket is not only fashionable, it reaches new levels of functionality while protecting the wearer from extreme weather conditions.
Designed to be worn alone as super-deluxe photographer’s windbreaker, or as the outer jacket of a 2-part system, this jacket has a plethora of pockets inside and out designed to hold a wide range of gear- not just cameras and lenses, but an mp3 player, pens, business & credit cards and numerous accessories.
Made of Cordura, the jacket is built to resist abrasions and scratches when trekking, hiking or even mountain climbing. The material is treated with Witcofex Ecodry and DuPont Teflon to increase water resistance, but at the same time encourage 'breathability'. Wrist straps provide an extra seal against moisture, while protective padding on the shoulders and elbows make it comfortable to carry gear or lean against something for added support. The hood is designed as a light-shield making it easy to view an LDC display in the bright sun and even the zippers have been designed to allow the photographer complete freedom of movement in the field.
Next up is the photographer’s Gitzo Fleece Jacket, which features the same design details and multiple pockets as the 4 Season Jacket, but provides additional warmth and fits comfortably under the 4 Season Jacket.
