I'm looking into purchasing a stand alone backup device for a big trip to Nepal at the end of the year.
Does anyone have any experience with using any of the Vosonic models, as they are reasonably priced for features, you can buy just the shell and put in your own hard drive, and they use sata hard drives instead of IDE (Sata are cheaper in AU).

I was looking into one of the Hyperdrive models, but the biggest drawback is that they take IDE drives, and hardly anyone sells them here, and they are terrible Gb value for $$. Plus the Hyperdrives are more expensive for the amount of storage space they provide.
I'll be ordering online, and won't be able to try any option, as local stores don't stock any of these.
Opinions please??
