Its me again! This time with some pics I just took of the cat. The first one looks a little washed out. Any comments will be appreciated!

They are taking forever to load...too long for me..but from the small photos.the crop isn't doing the cat any favors?
Second one looks to have alot of yellow tinge in it as well.

I can't comment because, like Gail, I got fed up waiting for the pics to load!

I would simply try and retake the shots myself....get the cat in a sleep.watch the background...use your flash.adjust your white balance. Take the photo as you would want to see it without a crop?

I would have though that, living in Nanaimo, where the pace of life is slow, you would be far more patient than I:lol:

Okay, they are resized now. I tried setting the white balance on the first pic a little higher, but it seemed to make the cat very dull in color. Maybe just a bad contrast of yellow-orange and blue?

LOL..slow.not dead!:lol::lol:

The first shot seems to be more true in color than the second.
Search white balance on this forum and you will be able to set your custom WB.

I have to agree with Flo here in that I don't think the crop/framing is really doing anything for these shots. Not to sound rude, but these just look poorly composed to me.

As far as the color/white balance in the first shot goes, you have a pretty heavy blue cast there...not sure if you intended it that way or not but I would really knock down the blues a bit and then bring up the over all contrast and saturation.

I wish I could offer more constructive criticism here but again at the risk of sounding rude, I really don't think these are particularly good shots. They'd be fine snap shots for the ol' memory box, but that's really about it.

Peace,
Jim
