I had a 55-250mm in my cart at the costco site. i was about to checkout when I get a phone call in the office. Other things came up and about an hour later, I come back to the costco page to checkout the lens. I press the Checkout button...and......boom!! " Product no longer available"!!!! WTF?!? Did it sell out?? It was there just an hour ago!!! It would have been just a 1 day delivery to my house from Costco. If I order from B&H, its a good week. Anyway, just had to vent. Thanks guys.

Yea shipping really stinks. I can't wait until they just teleport stuff...will be much easier. To think of it, if theres ne one who should be funding that research it should be fedex or ups....hmm

wonder if they have thought of that yet

Yeah but then there will be endless discussions about whether teleporting affects the optical quality of a lens. I mean it screws up those DO lenses badly, but you aren't likely to notice on a cheapo kit lens unless you teleport it a long way.

I think I'd rather have instant gratification and talk about that than pay for 2nd day shipping then wait 4 days while its in transit and pray that the guy isn't a big soccer fan.

Amazon is your friend. Comparable prices to B&H and Adorama. Free shipping (2nd day is free if you are Amazon Prime like me). No tax. No wasting time or gas to go to the store. No brainer. I'm not an Amazon employee or shareholder; just a content customer. :)

+1 for amazon

if it ain't in stock I go to B&H

B&H may be a little cheaper on some things, but that's usually no longer the case once you factor in shipping

and a lot of times, amazon is cheaper to begin with AND has free shipping

Do you need it for a particular event or trip? So you have to wait a few days...
Wow, the internet is really making people impatient.

Funnie, I actually don't go to work when i'm expecting photo gear delivered.

It's nice. Sleep in late. Starting around noon turn on my spidey sense.
