Pied flycatcher couple - and some photo manipulation ...

This pied flycatcher couple is nesting in our garden, so it was easy to find their favorite sitting branches and hide myself under a big spruce.

1 - Here is the female with mouthful of delicacies.

2 - This rowan was male's watching tree.

3 - They both sat on the same branch once a while.

Due to a shallow DOF, the last picture is a combination of 2 pictures: >A< (external link) and >B< (external link). How acceptable you find this?

All taken with 100-400, f5.6-8, 1/125-1/320, ISO800, supported on a stump.

Great shots of a bird I've never heard of.

How acceptable you find this?

Imagine what NG does to get some of their shots. It's not all expert photography. ;)

This flycathcer to my understanding mostly European/African bird, so possibly something new to you in Americas.

Yeah, the authenticity of photographing today is someting which one could argue a lot. Still I hope I could be able to do what NG photographers can do ...
