Max print size for canon sd850

I just printed some 11x14 prints from my sd850. I'm not really all that impressed though. So i was wondering what would be a better print size, or whats the most anyone gas printed using this camera.

Well, by resizing the picture up, I've been able to get publishable 8-1/2x11" prints (at 300 dpi) from my old A80. I needed to carefully up-res, and do a lot of noise reduction and sharpening, but it's possible. That was a 4 MP camera; I have an easier time with the 6.3 MP from my D60, although I have to throw away a lot of those pixels to fit the print's aspect ratio. I also get fine 11x14 prints from an 8.2 MP sensor on my 20D.

With 8 MP from the SD850, I suspect that your problem was less the pixel count than other factors like noise or camera movement that show up much more at high magnifications. Does that sound about right?

Yeah that sounds about right jon. I think i'm gonna go for 8x10 for this one. Like you said in my other topic. Time for an upgrade
