Pesky static lint on lens after cleaning.

How do you stop it??

I use lens cleaning fluid and lens tissues to get rid of the days gunk...but it seems to create static on the lens surface and before I can get the lens cap on there are tiny hairs and dust stuck to the surface already.

Even harder to get both sides of a UV filter lint free and on teh lens in time. What am I doing wrong?

I think you might have a touch of OCD

Remember that a little lint on the lens typically won't show in photos.

Try to clean in the most lint/dust free environment you have, which is typically the bathroom. Which, btw, typically has the best lighting!

I see. Okay...I'll ease off on the cleaning a little.

If your OCD really bugs you try blowing them off. The day's gunk? What are you shooting that you get that much gunk in a day?

I shoot extremely dusty off-road racing, (surrounded by the dusty track) and I just blow off the lens at the end of the day.
