HELP - how do I get tif to jpeg?? ( MAC)

Just tried shooting in RAW.. I have the photos in iphoto. I want to post them on photobucket but they seem to need to be in jpeg format. What do I do to do this?

PS also I am aware of photoshop - I have elements. What do you recommend I use? Should I not be even storing in iphoto?

Choose File-> Export, then JPEG from the pull-down menu.

If you have Elements 6, then you should probably use it instead of iPhoto.
