Tried to focus a bit more on getting frames of batters with the ball in the image. BOB shots don't always include good face shots, but I got lucky and caught a few BOB with eyes and faces in shot. See what you think. EXIF attached. This was our Pee Wee (11-12) Championship game. Full set of 120 or so images at http://www.cjscons.com/ghbaseball/jun21 (external link)

These are very good Christian. Perfect "timing" on No 3 but I love the expression of potential pain in No 6. Keep up the great work!

LOL! or ball on boy! Thanks. This was just after his mom had asked me to make sure I got some shots of him. Not sure that this was the type of shot she was looking for though!

Great shots, Christian!

I just posted some shots from my 13-year old's tournament this weekend that I made with my brand new 40D. Some of those kids are pitching close to 70 mph. I'm lucky if the ball's even in the frame!

Thanks Ron! Yes I have found that it is all about getting the timing on the shutter correct. Basically if I want to get good batter shots, I am usually looking for timing just after contact. For BOB shots, I need to start snapping just as ball is about 3/4 way to the plate and of course use a high enough shutter speed to "stop" flight. Keep shooting and you will get it!

Nice shots. When I get a BOB, the face is usually tipped down.
