Help with making my Britek strobes wireless??

I have been reseraching this for weeks and haven't found any direct information... Sooo...

I need some help with making my strobes wireless. Can I just use this slave sensor and I can shoot with no pc cords?

Most new studio flash units have optical slaves built in, it is likely your Britek lights have optical slaves.

And many do not require you to even turn them on. If someing is not plugged into the sync port, the optical slave is set to function.

But, a few flash units require you to turn the optical slave function on. Is this a possibility with your units?

Also, where were you using the flash units? Optical slave typically work nicely in studio and ad hoc studio setups (inside in small to medium sized room).

But, they function poorly outside and in very large rooms (like gymnasiums).

I looked on the strobe and didn't see any switch to turn on the optical slave. If there is, that's news to me. I have used the strobes both in a small room and outside - trying to slave the other lights which seemed to not work. Right now, I am stuck using 2 of my 3 lights.. Is it a posibility that one of the 3 lights can be a master slave? Meaning I just plug one of the strobes into the PC, while the others will detect the "master"...

That said, I would still rather go fully wireless. I need these to work ASAP as I have a few clients for automotive photoshoots and would LOVE to use the strobes. As you said they don't work well outdoors, but I don't plan on pushing the limit to the optical slave sensors - I would probably stick within a 50 ft radius.

They do not work well outside, even at 3 feet.

So I should probably look into PocketWizards or equal?

or equivalent! PW are too expensive.
