Hi All,

I have a question for people who are familiar with the Seattle, WA area. I'll be doing some traveling up there soon and was wondering where there some good places for bird shooting/animals. I got a new telephoto lens and want to test it out.

Thanks! :)

The University of washington arboretum has some great places to find birds and such. If you can get outside the city the state parks are always a good place to shoot.

Woodland park zoo is nice. Also has a great butterfly exhibit and squirrels that pose long enough for you to get focus before they teleport and pose again (I didnt have a DSLR at the time and had a hell of a time with them!) many many animals there.

Also this is a very good time of the year to head out to northwest trek (graham area, but easy to find) there is a tour by bus that loops around the park where you can see herds of various animals. VERY good place to test your 100-400 :) Not as many animals at NWT, but still a great place to go that has less of a zoo feel to it.
