OK--So I am new to the world of studio lighting and am in the process of setting up. I currently own a Canon Rebel xTi and the 430 and 580. I also have two umbrellas with stands. I have been reading a lot about the Qflash and am considering adding it as the key light, using the 580 as the fill and the 430 as background. I also own the speedlite transmitter. SO--what do I need??? Anybody?? Will the QFlash be triggered by my speedlite transmitter?? Nobody here in our Oakville camera stores seem to be familiar with the qflash. I have been to their website and it's totally overwhelming to someone used to shooting natural light. Any help or suggestions you might have in simple terms would be terrific. Also, (sorry there's more) what accessories do I need to use it in studio and on-the-go for outdoor portraits? I'm flying blind as I have to order it from the States and want to make the right choices.

I mix QFlash with Canon 580EX most of the time, but it is NOT for everyone.

According to the guys at Quantum--I can use my transmitter to trigger the qflash? But I read in a thread that the qflash still needs another attachment--qnexus?

Yes, that is correct. The QNexus is the IR receiver for the Qflash.
