Here are links to the first 2 of what will become several albums shot at Mosport on Friday. It was the annual Vintage Fair with this years theme being the 40th year celebration of the Can Am cars running there and since I had attended that race I just had to go. It was the only race I had attended there over the years and it was a long time ago, so I went a week before for a Koni Challenge / Mustang Challenge plus some other races event to practice plus to orient myself. Between the 2 Friday visits I have thousands of shots to go through, and therefore I have only done some basic editing / post processing but here is the beginning of what will grow to be a list of albums. I was using 3 bodies & several lenses and most albums will be based on the body they were shot with.

those are some nice pics. I like the panning shots. The outside of corner #3 by the concession stand and anywhere around the outside of corner #5 are the best spots around Mosport for pics. There are a bunch of posts here to give you some ideas of places to be.

Also, regarding the vintage weekend. Races were cancelled after a fatal crash. RIP to the brave driver.

That's very unfortunate, I will try to learn more. I have a customer who was competing and thankfully it wasn't him, but it's still tragic. I shot most at the entrance, and at the exit of 3 plus at 5 for a bit, and then at the exit of 1 but for some reason most shots from there are OOF a bunch. I had changed to my 24-105 and may have used too slow a shutter speed for being so close & it was the final Can Am practice & they were moving.

#1 in the afternoon can be a pain because you'll be facing the sun for the most part. When I was there for the Koni race a few weeks back, I found entering into #8 is a good spot in the morning and #5 was good in the afternoon - following the direction of the sun to keep shooting the bright side.

I shot the practice sessions at 8 and 9 the previous Friday and got some nice shots there. I had also shot at the exit of 1 that day but at high shutter speeds and the cars were slower which helped. Here's the link to some shots from then, which were a lens test more than a photoshoot, and another friend was with the team running the #196, 197, & 198 Mini's which is why I had gone thet Friday. I still have all the stots from that day to sort & upload too.
