Oh wow! I don't think a train will be able to use that again... at least not for a while.

I didnt think so either but they had the rail fixed in about 5 days and trains were crossing it. Crazy stuff.

Oh wow! That is crazy! That's good that they work fast over there though. If that happened here... it would be probably 5 years till it got fixed. :p

Lot's and lot's of consumer goods and other things are shipped by rail every day. The longer some tracks are out of service the railroad looses MILLIONS of dollars! Not to mention the companies whose goods they are shipping. So they try and fix vital routes very quickly.

I used to work for Union Pacific so I know the make big profits on every train they run, or they wouldn't be in business. That's also why I don't work for them now they certainly don't pay enough for what they ask of their employees.
