I have an idea for an upcoming shoot, and I'd like to use a softbox (I have one) and a strip box (I don't). I have a brollybox and plenty of black velvet, as well as two reflective umbrellas and a shoot through umbrella.

How might I best mimic the stripbox effect with the above equipment?

Thanks in advance!

Can't you put some blocking material on the sides of your softbox and make it a strip box?

I should have said that I'm going to cross-light. I'd like to use the softbox and a strip box - but don't have a strip box.

Sorry!
