What's the point of having so much of the image (mainly the middle ground) so out of focus?

It looks like the opportunity was there for a tripod ( as set up shot), so it would be do-able.

Sorry, it just isn't well planned.
Did this shot use flash? There is a lot of harsh lighting here, considering the reflecting surfaces that are very prominent.

I think this is kind of an interesting composition but I have to agree with Bob about the lighting being rather harsh. It looks like that's a window reflection there just above the "2005" and I really find that most distracting. I think with a little better control of the light and maybe a little more DOF, this might make a good shot to hang in a bar or a wine cellar or something though.

I'll give you credit for the artistic attempt but as Bob said, I think better planning and a little more forethought would have been in order.
