Still B&H or is there another gem out there.

Mainly, i need some paper for class. However, i'm setting up a dark room in my basment and will also need to get all the chemistry as well.

BH sells the best condition used gear that I know of...

and their prices on paper and chemicals are MUCH cheaper than local camera places

what are you looking for exactly?

I happen to have a complete darkroom outfit for sale. All pieces are in like new condition. The enlarger is a Beseler 23C III XL with dichro head. All the necessary hardware items are included for processing 35mm and 645 negs. There is also a supply of various size paper included (5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20). The only thing not included is the chemistry. You would want fresh anyway. The outfit has been stored for the past year. It needs a new home.

Let me know if you are interested. I am located on the west side of Indy. You would be more than welcome to drive down to have a look at it and/or pick it up. Shipping it would be a challenge.

I'm asking $750 for the whole lot.

*thanks pekka* :-)

Well, i'm gonna need some selectol, maybe some dektol, some stop bath, and fixer.

For now a hefty box of Kodak E paper would do...8x10 :D

I've got all the hardware, it'll need an upgrade when the pocket book can justify but for now i just need paper and chemicals. B&H is the best i've seen as far as hardware for camera gear, just wasnt sure about photo lab stuff. I guess it would be ignorant to think they werent king there too!

Thanks but on thanks, as i said i've already got some stuff that my dad gave me. Nothing real fancy, in fact i'm pretty sure it's crap  but it's a start, a free one at that.

Good luck, i'm sure it's getting harder and harder to sell that sort of thing these days.

Chemicals aren't that expensive; support your local camera store . . . Seriously, look around the local stores until you can find one that knows what they're talking about on darkroom work and stick with them. That way you'll have another person for face-to-face on problems you may encounter. It's a little harder to post a blown print here than a digital crop. But yeah, Dektol for prints, I liked D-76 (commercial mix or roll-your-own) and HC-110 for film, sometimes D-23 (and that was roll your own) if I wanted really soft. Solarol was a great B&W paper developer as well as realy good for Sabbatier effect work.
