Alright, then Im gonna be honest about it.
The timing isnt bad but the picture(s) isnt (arent) very good IMO.
In the first picture, Im not even sure the catcher is looking at the base runner. While this may actually be the way it happened, it doesnt lend itself to a strong picture. Its also very hard to even see a plate in the picture.
Another downside with it is the fact that it is obvious the girl is safe (if the base is where Im assuming it is) so theres not really anything exciting about this picture to me personally.
The background is also the worst Ive ever seen. Again, its not your fault that the background is there, but I just wonder if anything else could have been done about it. The black guy with the fleece and the kid hiding under the umbrella are highly distracting.
In summary, I think you definitely had good timing and awareness to know where to look and when to pull the trigger, BUT... I just dont think those pictures are all that great.
Im sure they will sell though
Also, please dont take offense to anything I said. I give the types of critiques that I have always looked for and the type that, when I finally got them, helped me improve as a photographer.
