Need ND filter 101 info.

Is there a ND filter 101 info out there anywhere Like:

What are the good brands?
What are the cheaper brands that work well?

And most important: When I go to buy, what density and how many filters should a beginner buy at first?

Good quality filters: B&W, Hoya, Singh-Ray, Lee.

Cheap filters are not truly neutral in tone, and will give an ugly color cast.

I buy my filters at www.2filters.com. Good prices, authorized dealer.

I use a 3 stop (ND8 ) and a 9 stop (ND400) multicoated filters made by Hoya.
