Chris.have you tried one of the night shots you have of the city? I love those ones with the bridge.

The client wants a triptych of the north shore mountains as seen from the kitsilano/jericho area that is large enough to be a substantial part of the wall above her sofa. I'm going to measure this Sunday. Looks like 20x30 40x30 20x30.

Working within some limitations here :)

Good luck, I know she will be pleased with what you create.

Will this be canvas or paper?

She's being very good about the whole thing. She has seen my portfolio, and loved it, so she wants me to do my own thing (the creative side). As far as finishes go I'm very heavily leaning (almost guaranteed) to be a metalic print on canvas.

I told her that when I'm done I will present her with two options, and she can pick the one she likes best. If I give her too many choices she'll never make one :)

Whom do you use for printing in town? I've used Hanna in the past and have been happy with their output from an Epson 9880. They'll do proper proofs and color-match until you're satisfied.

I use Technicare in Burnaby. I was directed there by Cosworth and Gujustud, and I have been very happy with the results I get from them. I had always printed my holiday snaps at Costco (and I suppose they're still good for that), but I was very dissapointed with my prints when I did enlargements. Technicare has been everything I could want.

Oh yea that was the other one I meant to try, thanks! Hanna's method of manual ordering is a PITA.

Have you been shooting the past few evenings, LD? The sunsets I've seen over the buildings have looked impressive with the storm clouds we've had during the day. I don't get to see much of it but I can catch a bit of it over the horizon.

It was heartbreaking to miss last nights incredible sunset. My wife even phoned over to Science World to tell me how great it was :(

I said "why would you tell me that when I'm working, and I can't go shoot it" :p

I really hope for a good one tonight.
