I think thinking of getting either. Been reading good reviews about both. So quite lost now.

Any comments from users?

These are some of the things i will scan most.
1) 35mm negatives. Black and white
2) 35mm negatives. Color
3) 35mm Slides. (dad's ooooooooold slides

)
4) prolly a little 120mm

How do Canon and Epson fair in terms of scanning this?

Some say Canon quality feels like a 5mp camera.

How much do you need the 120 option?
Otherwise I'd have a look at a dedicated film scanner, like a Nikon Coolscan or so...

More expensive, but better.

I am thinking of going into MF soon. So might need the 120 option. Cause scanning in lab in Singapore cost me abt SGD$0.50-$0.80. Quite pricey. Thats why thinking of getting a scanner myself.

Do you have a Canon 8800F yourself? Hows the quality?
