This was my first paid wedding job that I shot in April. The bride loves them, but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say, perhaps areas I could improve on. I'm posting 8 here. There's not really much PP done to them, other than color/brightness/WB adjustment, USM and Noise reduction, with a little vignetting added here and there.
#1- Best Man- I liked this one because it came out so sharp (that's a diamond stud in his nose, btw)

#2- 'Reserved' Table

#3- Mom & Dad of Bride

#4- At the Altar- I was going for trying to frame the gown, train, and groom. I don't know how I should have composed this shot...any suggestions?

#5- Lighting the "Union Candle"...Looks a little cool to me...

#6- The Kiss

#7- Random Dancing (I need a wider lens)

#8- Chance capture of DJ light flashing behind couple...Cut off grooms head, but it was a quick snap.

Some really nice shots here. couple might be slightly underexposed, but I think you did really well. The Dancing Bride is my favorite.

Lacking emotion except for the last two where it seems to be nearly visible. Probably better then my first paid wedding though!

I think you did a mighty fine job for your first paid gig. It could just be the pics that you posted here, but I would change up your composition a bit. Most of these shots have the subject pretty darn close to being centered - which is totally perfert for a lot of the formal shots. But it looks like you're going for the photo journalistic style, which is why I suggest changing it up and making it a little more interesting/ artsy.
Good luck with your next one!

Thanks for the advice.
You know one problem I have, is that I tend to focus alot on the camera's focal points and many times the composition will show it. I do need to use the other two-thirds of free space to give it a change of pace and a different look. Thanks for bringing that up.
If you feel like briefly flipping through a large gallery, you can click the link below the pics and see the full gallery. You can even comment on the images on the page.
Thanks!

I think you did a great job. I can see why the couple was happy with them. Thank you for sharing.

It would help a lot if you would number them and maybe give a little explanation of each. Like, who is the guy in the first one ... apparently not the groom. Not a bad set but there are things in most which could be improved ... like chopping off heads in the second to last, partial people in fourth, just little things that aren't so professional.
