New to the forum. New to DSLR's. New to my new Rebel XSi! :D

Just wondering who's out there with one. What do you like? What do you dislike? I'd love to see some shots taken with it.

**EDIT BY CDS***

We have a growing number of *Fan clubs revolving around specific bodies.
I thought I'd make a collection of them, so we can find them and keep them organized (merge in new ones etc)

The Master list is here

Feel free to point us to other models or threads that could be merged.

* WARNING: By posting in this or any of the linked threads you are wholly admitting in no uncertain terms that you are a snot nosed, milk drinking, knee biting, curtain climbing unabashed Canon Fanboy who's opinions must be taken with several large grains of kosher salt.

Best way to find shots taken with particular cameras is to search for it in pbase.com

otherwise, welcome, start posting pictures.

I love the dedicated ISO button, and the My Menu definable menu screen--both huge improvements to useability. I actually prefer the aperture adjustment method, in Manual, on the XSi to the 40d. Reaching back to use the rear dial seems harder to me than just pressing the Av button on the rear while rolling the front dial.
I wish it were quieter. Mirror slap makes wildlife photography challenging without a huge telephoto. So far that's the only downside for me.

I Love the colors that the new digic chip gives us. Such a nice improvement over the XT!

Here's one I took of a senior 2 days after getting it:

Got mine a couple of weeks ago.

Went to a wedding:

IMAGE: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3267/2587675211_98fb0c0b14.jpg

Went to a ballgame where I took some horrible pictures (Apparently you still need to check your settings if you shoot in Av...):

IMAGE: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3153/2608593411_2463a8fda6.jpg

Even saw a rainbow or two:

What I like: It's not my crappy point and shoot

What I dislike: Photography is turning into an expensive hobby. Oh and that rubber viewfinder thing is just a lint magnet.

A Camera. A Lens.

I got it as a backup for my 30D, but the reality of the superb performance and 50% more megapixels at same or better IQ have found me using it more frequently than the 30D...! My main gripe is the finger grip--it's rather shallow and I find it uncomfortable in a prolonged usage in the ways that the original Digital Rebel and the 30D never do. I'm going to see if the battery grip will make it better. The LP-E5 battery is a winner--superb life! Got myself a $20 Power 2000 aftermarket battery that seems to work just as well.

Oddly enough, the ISO-always-in-viewfinder, which sounded so compelling to me when it was not available, and which was actually a selling point for me, has turned out to be less critical than I had anticipated. Perhaps it's that I had trained myself over the past five years of using Canon DSLRs to constantly be aware of what ISO I was using, that I am not finding it too useful.

Have had mine for just over 2 months and I've already shot 11,000 frames. Here are some of the better efforts (some have been posted here on POTN already):

I was thinking of creating a thread like this. Should be a good 450D/XSi user chat thread.

Got mine two weeks ago. I find the high-ISO noise reduction works pretty well. Live View is useful when taking shots at close proximity (such as food), still trying to get the hang of it.

Here are some of my first shots:

I got mine in April (my first DSLR) and absolutely love it. I take it almost everywhere we go. :)

Very nice photos everyone! I haven't had much to time to start to learn more about DSLR's but this weekend we are going away so I"ll have some time to thoroughly read the manual and a book I bought so hopefully when I get back I'll have some great photos to share.
