Thanks leo! That does look a lot better. What did you bump up? Or was this done w/ just auto correction?

I messed with the HUE/color balance/Curve/Brightness/Contrast/ blurred you back ground/Enhanced the dogs eyes/ Brightness/ and that's all... I don't need to use Auto Correct!!! All on GIMP! You can get it for your computer too! It's free!

I just got the camera today. I've got a lot to learn after living with a point-and-shoot for the last few years.

I love mine. This is a photo of my nephew, I think his eyes are mesmerizing, not that I did them justice.

Sittingshooter, are you using your 70-200 on this shot?

Good Job! I like! You have that look to it that makes me think of cookies baking at grandmas house! Or whenever you visit your relatives as a little kid... And it was always cool because the grown-ups talked inside and we kids got to do whatever we wanted... Like play tag or hide and go seek!!! A very happy and humble feel to it!

Well, it's just like the 18-55mm, the same picture quality... Good composition! You need to bump up the color and adjust your white balance... Also I suggest more contrast to make the blacks show more of a modern style to it!! Especially with the spider! The REDS,yellows and blacks will seriously make the picture gorgeous! You want me to help?
