Great! RAW is the way to go!!! Whenever you decide to buy CS3, your work will be flawless!

I have gotten CS3, about a week or two ago. Haven't really gotten around to use it yet — except to pair with Dreamweaver (something has to fund this hobby).

I really should learn. I'll try it on a few photos now. Any tips for beginners?

All your tutorials can be found on the Internet! You are in a good situation! Are you using it for MAC? Or PC?

One copy runs on both :) I primarily use Mac, though.

I just took these pictures about 10 minutes ago. I was wondering what should be done to make them look better (I'm sad they had to be taken at such high ISOs.)

Smokee! I really like youR B&W! Very nice feel to it!

Thanks, a completely lucky shot. Trying to get two kids(and a wife :)0 to settle down in a horse drawn carriage, on a stinking hot day, while shooting something was a decent challenge.

You have alot of "Blown out"(Subjective Term) pixels, but I don't remember how to fix those... When I tried, all I got was a bunch of Grey spots... And plus I am just a beginner still... My brother Lenin is an actual graphic artist/ professional Photographer, he could probably do more to it... I'm doing what I learned by messing around.... The Program I am using is GIMP, because I cannot afford CS3... :shock:But some day if I were to have a copy, I would be gladly show you what I learned from watching video after video on Youtube!

 It looks good, but still over processed for me. It basically comes down to individual tastes ;)

Blown out pixels? My terminology is bad. Is that where it's over-exposed to the point where it's completely white in places, or . . .

Also, is it better to make the background light or dark?

I do the back ground dark because my eyes go directly to the bird... Like vignetting, but I do the whole back ground... I'm actually a artist that draws, but I wanted to see what I could do with photography!! I actually like the photo editing part alot! Taking pictures is fun, but not as fun as editing!

Ya the blown out(subjective Term) are pix. cells that are totally stripped of there original color... Either to the contrast being set to high/ over processing according to FLiPMaRC, or really hard light striking the object and reflecting... In that case a filter needs to be used on the lens to HELP compensate... I noticed when I use my polarizer , alot of that is taken care of... Or you could fix it in CS3/GIMP, I just got to figure out a way to make it look more natural... I was actually thinking about adding color to those areas and then blend/soften/Blur the area to make it look like it is part of the picture... I will try it later
