The only thing is, she's new to DSLR's (as am I) and doesn't like the time it takes to down load to her laptop and upload to Photobucket (or other). I'm not familiar with the menu options but I'm sure there must be a way to reduce the size of the pic on the camera but I don't know how. Is it a resolution issue? I should probably post a question in a tech section, but if anyone could help here it would be appreciated by a newbie! Here's one of her first efforts.

Use flickr, it is the best for photo upload and presentation!!! The quality of your photos wont drop!! And it's cheap too! Also I suggest getting a photo editor... Also do not be so hasty in trying to get Lenses... You must be patient and get a good one. I suggest the EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L or the EF 24-105mm IS f/4 L... You get what you pay for. I on the other hand am waiting till I have enough money to get my luxury Lens!! So in the mean time I would suggest learning everything and anything about your camera... Plus Practice Practice Practice!!! If you want to get good, Practice shooting pictures!! Experiment and read on the net about how to do stuff! Like MACRO or HDR, or may I suggest Portraits or action shots ( if you have kids!!) like sports or family gatherings... But if anything, be patient and keep trying. -=Armada=-

When I use matrix or partial metering I notice that photoes taken outside are over exposing whites when mixed in with other colors and I have to dial down 1/3 to 2/3 stops to compensate for it. I tried out center weighted too and I *think* that metering doesn't over expose the white and close-to-white colors as badly. More testing will tell.
