Thank you HSK! I had a lot of fun taking and PP'ing those photos. Learned a lot about PSE 7 as well.

Hi, My 450D arrived yesterday! I've been using a Sony DSCP150 and a couple of different Canon 35mm SLR's for the last few years. This is my first DSLR!!:)

So, new camera, new to the forum and very happy with my new bit of kit! Hopefully after I've fixed the car and had something to eat, i'll post a few pics of the Dog and a few macros I've taken. Looking forward to some advice, critique and friendly banter!!!

Cheers. Si

If you have ever wonder what goes into making a Canon lens, go here and look at the informative video. Very cool.

Thanks for the advise, I just returned from the store, He apologized for the battery an oversite he stated, and replaced it and let me keep the old one. He said about the shutter count, he is a camera store, he demo's and lets customer take shots in and outside of his store , he let me check 2 other XSI and a 40D all had between 1400 and 2400 clicks. He said he used to have demos and then sell a fresh box, but people would still come back with problems , so this way he knows the camera is working 100% when he sells it. He was busy this morning selling an XTI and a D90 to back to back customers before he helped me. He gives 30 day Exchanges .Funny thing though he never said they are new or used to either of those customers. His prices are excellent as long as you know the going prices, he will do much better. I tried to get a 50mm F1.8 for my troubles, but the battery was enough he said. I did not want to make a scene with other customers nearby. Within the 3 weeks we purchased an XTI with 2 Sigma lenses 28-70 and 70-200 returned the lenses for a 28-135 and returned that for the XSI and my listed lenses..out the door $ 835. All in all the Mrs. is happy, Thanks again

wow, I honestly have no idea...I'd probably ask the person you bought it from about it. Especially about the non-canon battery! That doesn't quite sound new to me, definitely used or toyed with. Did the place advertise the camera as new?

He never says new or used, I posted a lengthy respone above, thanks.

finally got some time for another shot of my car at work. it was starting to rain so the sun is not giving me enough light. therefore this was a 5minutes shot cause my camera took a few droplets from the rain.

Nice shot and nice car (Acura wheels?). I miss my 2006 Si, it was a blast to drive.
