bemerick, the chicago river!? Bokeh is too bokehed to tell?! O`well, it's still a good shot. I would suggest a little more contrast though to make your subject pop more.

Don't have the kit lens anymore either, replaced it with the 17-85 IS (still not sure about it either). I'm basically going through a test phase right now, might get back the 24-105 later on. andre|paul design + photography

If I ever got a hold of that lens, I would have kept it for ever! The 24-70 is a great lens SUPER FAST! My little brother and my twin have it actually. They love it, but my twin doesn't use his camera at all! I'm like, why don't you pass over that camera equipment to me!! LOL! -=Armada=-

So I think the 24-70L would be a better choice for that purpose or even the 17-55. I have a 100 macro also for that reason, I'll get the 24-70 soon. andre|paul design + photography

Especially kit lenses. I don't see why any one would want to sell the 18-55mm f/3.5 IS!? It's great if you use a flash with it! -=Armada=-

My main hobbies are computers and motorcycles, I do quite a bit of SFX on my computer and the like, but I recently picked up a Canon EOS Rebel XSi w/ the 18-55 kit lens and i'm loving it so far. I've had it for about a week now and i'm just curious if this is a camera that will last me a while especially once I get more experieced with photography or should I look into a 40D possibly before my return policy is up ?.I love taking pictures because it's fun and love sharing the pictures with people. There are a few things i'm not 100% sure about yet but i've been scouring through threads trying to pick up as much as I can before asking a bunch of newbie questions and maybe someone can point me to some more appropriate sites/threads that maybe helped you to get a better grasp. http://www.flickr.com/photos/BrandonQ/sets/
