So I haven't been on here for a while, but with some spare time now I would like to introduce to you fellow POTN'ers my blog. I try to make it photography based. Any critiques are welcome so don't be shy. It still needs some tweaking but I hope some of you may like it.

This image was taken with the Canon 28-135 IS. I just cannot resist trying to capture the essence of these magnificent flowers.

Oh, and a way to trick them: take pictures of them naked or in awkward positions etc, while theyre still unaware of what a camera is,
and tell them later "do what I say or I show those pictures to your girlfriend".
Way to tame a reluctent teenager, trust me. hahaha

This is the first picture I've had the guts to post. I've been a lurker for a while and I'm thankful to have learned a lot from you guys.

I took this at my favorite brewpub last fall when I got the XSi. I only recently upgraded my computer (MacBook) and decided to get Lightroom 2. I'm really into selective color lately and this turned into a pleasant surprise from what I thought was just a throw away picture.

You know, selective color can be overdone/overused, but in this case, wow. It really makes the picture!

I really appreciate that! I was so happy with how this turned out and it has given me a little boost of confidence to get out there and experiment some more.

A quick clone to get rid of a couple of beach chairs, a slight unsharp mask and resizing.

F10, 1/200, ISO100, 140MM
