I'm just telling you what I have. I seriously think my 18-55 is junk or something is wrong with it.

I seriously think my 18-55 is junk or something is wrong with it. I think something must be wrong with it because I love the pictures I get with mine! I am just learning all about lens and settings but for the span it covers it does well for me. 5D MarkII | 50D Canon 17-40mm|55-250 | 60mm Macro | 50mm 1.4 | 24-105L IS | 580EXII | 70-200L F2.8 IS II | Ultra Zap 800 |StarFlash 300 X2 | AB 400X 2 Flickr

Except the obvious 50mm 1.8 ones ![]() Look at my Flickr and click anything in 'original size' am I being anal? ![]() it looks like you have only a few pics with the XSi, everything I've seen posted is in the dark (welding ?) with the "exposure compensation" increased a full stop and the ISO at 400 or look in the lens archive section - the 18-55IS is a very sharp lens! edit - your first Flickr pic "lowering kit 09 Ram R/T" everything seems to be correct - ISO 100, f7.1 1/125 sec. - looks sharp and focused !
