Hi, tman65,

Congratulations on your new Nifty Fifty! I bought one a few years ago and it has been a gem for me. And, it is so easy to carry it as a spare lens, just pop it in a pocket (even a shirt pocket). Have fun with it and get some pictures up...Joe Tiemann (hmmmm, tman2)

Here are some I took tonight with the 18-55 kit lens. The fireworks were at Epcot at Walt Disney World. The view was from our hotel room. Enjoy!

Yeai! I got mine only last night. Enjoying the new features, esp. spot metering, the Live View and the ISO button. The feel is better too. Excited to using it.

They scare me every day. He is a very old cat. I thought about doing something different in PP with them, but left them alone because I thought they were kind of interesting...

I want to join the XSi crew but am holding off on buying it for a bit because I am completely stingy!

Right now the best deal I've found is a refurbished kit from Adorama for $484 after Bing Cashback.

Ideally I'd prefer to get just the body and a 50mm f/1.8 but I'm not guessing this is possible for a comparable price? It's hard to find body-only refurbs of the lower-end models at a good price. :(

Should I wait for Black Friday maybe? Any buying advice would be much appreciated.
