Nice photos, I'm so very sorry to hear about your dogs. It's so sad because they become a family member and they never live long enough. Again, I'm so sorry.

Bob, Sorry to hear the loss of your Golden. Three years ago we had to put down our Golden Retriever of 14 years. It almost seems like it was yesterday. Just remember the memories and that you gave her the best life and home.

Thank you all for the sentiments.

Someone on another forum sent me a link to The Rainbow Bridge http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm (external link)
Looking forward to going there :):)

I'm glad I am not the only one who built a shrine to my long past pets. We should honor them as they honored us with their company and love!

Sorry to hear about Penny, Bob! We lost our 9 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Clifford, in March, and I'm still missing him!

Penny was going to be my last dog as it is too painful to go through losing them. I've just seen the thread on a new Golden puppy (Bix). Bix is the spitting image of Monte when he was a pup and Monte turned out to be such a great dog. Looking at Bix I guess I'm going to change my mind about owning another Golden. We'll see.
